MISSION AND VISSION
MISSION
Our mission is to empower young people through Scouting by providing opportunities to learn practical skills, develop leadership, build character, and take part in community service. IDBSA Puniyal encourages Scouts to learn by doing, work together, help others, and become responsible and active members of society.
VISION
Our vision is to build a strong and united generation of young people who are confident, disciplined, skilled, and ready to serve their communities. IDBSA Puniyal aims to create young leaders who value teamwork, respect, courage, friendship, and care for nature while becoming positive role models for the future.
HISTORY OF SCOUTING
Scouting began in 1907 when Robert Baden-Powell held the first Scout camp on Brownsea Island in England. In 1908, he published Scouting for Boys, which helped the movement grow in many countries. Scouting teaches young people important values such as discipline, teamwork, leadership, courage, service, and respect for nature through activities like camping, hiking, first aid, and community work.
After the creation of Pakistan in 1947, Scouting continued to grow across the country and later became an important part of youth development in areas such as Gilgit-Baltistan. Today, organizations like IDBSA Puniyal continue this tradition by helping young people learn useful skills, serve their communities, and become responsible leaders.
